Dr. Karen Griffin, PhD, is a research scientist specializing in shelter dogs and dog rehoming. With a doctorate in animal sciences from the University of Lincoln in England, her work spans both the US and Europe, focusing on the practical applications of research in real-world settings.

Dr. Griffin’s expertise includes studying how dogs fit into home environments, identifying what makes placements successful, and finding ways to improve outcomes. She is also the founder and Executive Director of The Dog Rehoming Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between research and practice, putting science to work for dog sheltering and rehoming.
